James Bond-age: Licence to Kill Count

Since November is James Bond month (because of the new ChiZine Publications anthology Licence Expired: The Unauthorized James Bond, which I have a small contribution within [click here for purchase information {but only in Canada!}]), I thought we’d fill the month with various Bond-related paraphernalia and such.

Today, movie violence!

I was unable to find the literary equivalent, but thanks to enterprising Internet peoples with way too much time on their hands, we can determine that James Bond, in his cinematic guise, is an unstoppable killing machine that makes Jason Voorhees look like a mere hobbyist. We’re talking hundreds of bad guys here, all sent to their respective circles of Hell courtesy of 007.

According to MailOnline, Pierce Brosnan is the deadliest Bond of them all, with 21.25 deaths per movie. This, obviously, may change once Spectre comes out, but he’s way ahead of Daniel Craig, in second place at 12.66/movie.

Bad Bonds

To put it into visual context, here’s a video summation of every single 007 kill. It’s a fairly long video, so put aside a good part of your lunch hour to make sure the count is accurate.
